Friday Art Club - Gel printing
A relaxed and friendly social event hosted by Anna, an experienced art teacher and painter.
Every Friday 10:00 - 11:30am term time only
This year, we are running these creative sessions as a 'print club', here is our introduction to gel printing otherwise known as monotype. Buy your ticket here and simply turn up, we provide all materials including tea and biscuits. Gel printing is where you work with a soft rubbery sheet, a little like silcon! By rollering onto it with acrylic paint and using mark making techniques, a paper sheet is laid over the surface, pulled away to reveal a print!

Pay as you go - £14/week - come to ANY single week or a few...Anna will always be here on hand to get you started on your gel printing journey or to help you with next stages. No Matter which weeks you can join, always we provide you guidance.
Book a block of 4 - and receive a discount. You can mix/ match the weeks you want to come along to. Anna will provide tuition and guidance, but you will be working on your own projects. Please consider the best way to attend this course is to book a 4 session in a row which guides you through a complete project from total beginner through to design, carve and print your own design.
- Nov 7th - an introduction to gel printing, Anna demonstrates how to get started, get familiar with equipment & materials, scraffito, water splash, layering.
- Nov 14th - further develop techniques for mark making using found objects
- Nov 21st - techniques for mark making with botanical items like leaves & stencils
- Nov 28th - work on a project perhaps it can be Christmas theme. Students can try out any new ideas they have.

Unopened kits can be returned within 14 days of purchase. Unfortunately, we can’t accept returns once a kit has been opened.
