Dragon Egg Drawing Workshop (Ages 11 to 14)
CLASS: 3 -4:30pm
Moving up from primary to secondary school is an important time for kids ...or young adults! At Clever Hands we recognise that period is key to development of creative spirit, a time when we begin the journey of decisions that will shape the path of our futures.
Learn pro pencil skills by drawing a mysterious dragon egg step by step, then level it up into a dramatic hatching scene. Students will draw the egg multiple times to build confidence and control, then use shading to make it look 3D and grounded on the page. In the final version, the shell cracks open with pieces falling away and an eye peeking through from inside. See examples of Danny's own professional Artwork, learn from a real life Artist and ask lot's of questions - a perfect class from a keen young art enthusiast!
What they’ll learn
- How to draw a smooth egg shape (that actually looks right)
- Light and shadow for realistic 3D form
- Cast shadow to make the egg look like it’s sitting on a surface
- Texture and cracking effects for the shell
- Making a simple drawing feel more dramatic and “real”
Good to know
- Beginner-friendly, but still challenging in a satisfying way
- Everyone leaves with a finished drawing they’re proud of
- All materials provided (or bring your own favourite pencils if you prefer)
