Join us for a relaxed and creative evening exploring handstitch and textile embellishment. Thursday evening workshop with tea, coffee, biscuits!
This 'starburst' theme workshop focuses on expressive, creative stitching rather than formal embroidery, making it accessible to complete beginners while still engaging for those with some stitching experience. Age 14 upwards recommended.
Local textile artist Diane Moore will guide you through the use of colour, simple stitch techniques, adding beads along with luxury cloth organza to enhance your work. You’ll create a unique textile piece suitable for wall display, while gaining skills you can continue to use at home. Choose your own elements and colours from Diane's treasure trove of fabrics, beads & interesting components she has collected over the years!
Your ticket includes everything, no need for you to bring anything unless you'd like to work with your own beads and threads, Diane can help advise how suitable your items can be! the 6 inch hoop is also included for you to take away: use the hoop as a way to wall mount your embroidery textile art.
The session begins with Diane sharing examples of her own textile artwork alongside work from previous students, offering inspiration and demonstrating how simple techniques can be used in many different ways. You’re encouraged to work at your own pace and level, making the experience as gentle or as challenging as you wish.
All materials are provided, including base fabric, needles, threads, scissors, organza, and beads. Expect a calm, friendly atmosphere and plenty of guidance throughout.
No need to bring anything — just yourself, and an openness to learning, making, and enjoying the process.

We deliver across the UK, with free delivery on orders over £50. International delivery is available via our Etsy shop.

Unopened kits can be returned within 14 days of purchase. Unfortunately, we can’t accept returns once a kit has been opened.
