Origami Autumn & Winter, for Beginners
Enjoy a relaxed introduction to origami, the traditional Japanese art of paper folding, and create a selection of beautiful handmade pieces for the Autumn season.
Led by tutor Romina, this beginner-friendly workshop will introduce you to the basic folds and techniques used to transform a simple sheet of paper into decorative and practical designs. You’ll start with easy projects and build your confidence as you go, working at your own pace with demonstrations and written instructions to follow.
During the session, you’ll make two lovely designs: a letter and envelope combination with a folded leaf detail, and a heart-shaped bookmark. You’ll also have the opportunity to explore other simple origami ideas that can be used as tree decorations, garlands, gift embellishments or handmade card decorations.
Choose from Romina’s collection of origami papers in a range of colours and patterns. Special origami paper is thin yet strong, allowing you to create crisp folds without tearing, making the process satisfying and easy to learn.
Origami is a wonderfully mindful craft that combines creativity, patience and precision. Come on your own or enjoy the experience with a friend.
You’ll leave with your finished creations, a simple take-home guide and the confidence to continue folding at home.
