Birds of Liverpool Papercut Collage Workshop
Create your own Bird of Liverpool papercut collage in this colourful workshop with local artist Nicola McGovern of Imagine Attic. Using hand-cut layers of coloured paper, you will build a striking bird illustration inspired by Liverpool’s local wildlife.
Suitable for beginners, this workshop will guide you through simple papercutting and layering techniques to help you create a postcard-sized artwork full of shape, contrast and detail. Choose from a range of birds including cormorants, seagulls, sandpipers and parakeets, then bring your design to life using beautifully coloured papers and careful hand-cut layers.
Your finished piece can be displayed at home, framed, or turned into a unique handmade greetings card for someone special.
Nicola McGovern creates original artworks in layered paper, with subjects including local architecture, seascapes, landscapes, portraits, birds and florals. Her work has recently been exhibited at dot-art Gallery, Liverpool Art Fair and The Hatch in New Brighton, and she has been delivering creative workshops for over 25 years.
