Machine Sewing Alterations & Upcycle T Shirt
Already some machine experience but want to learn how to make something?
This class is for you, and students who completed our part 1 of sewing machine class...OR...refer to our list of basics covered by our Part 1 class, ensure you are able with those skills.
Meet Scarlett of Afrayed Upcycling....she bring a wealth of experience when it comes to machine stitch technique & garment making. A small group means you will have lots of opportunity to ask Scarlett our tutor any questions that arise - and a sewing machine is provided for you on the day.
In this workshop, Scarlett will be showing you some practical techniques to ensure your
clothes fit you properly, learn alterations such as hemming etc. We will finish the workshop with a fun Tshirt upcycle! Bodies come in all shapes and sizes and with these handy techniques, you will be able to confidently alter your
wardrobe to fit you perfectly.
We will be learning how to: Hem trousers/jeans, take in an elasticated waistband on skirts and trousers and also snazz up a Tshirt which includes some techniques for
working with slight stretch fabrics. Knowledge on tools for alterations and use of them will also be taught!
Please bring in 3 garments. A pair of trousers or jeans to shorten. Skirt or trousers with an elasticated waistband. A tshirt that you want to upcycle. All the sewing materials
and tools are provided, however please bring along your own machine if you prefer.

We deliver across the UK, with free delivery on orders over £50. International delivery is available via our Etsy shop.

Unopened kits can be returned within 14 days of purchase. Unfortunately, we can’t accept returns once a kit has been opened.
