Create a textile landscape with MOMIGAMI method
Join us for an inspiring workshop where you’ll create your own unique textile and mixed-media landscape—a finished artwork you can mount and frame with pride. Momigami is a Japanese paper-folding technique that kneads paper with liquid, creating a soft, strong, fabric-like material ideal for textile art and creative mixed-media crafting.
No previous experience is required. As long as you can thread a needle and use scissors (or a rotary cutter), you’re good to go. A slightly wobbly straight stitch is more than welcome!
Local artist Diane Moore, who works in textiles, paint, and mixed media, will guide you step by step through the process. You’ll learn how to build a layered landscape using fabric, paper, and stitch, and discover a wonderfully freeing approach to composition.
The best part? There’s no detailed planning involved. You’ll be amazed at how a beautiful, balanced landscape can emerge naturally. Diane will also share a clever technique for transforming printed papers into fabric for use in your artwork—no magic tricks required, but the results may surprise you!

Unopened kits can be returned within 14 days of purchase. Unfortunately, we can’t accept returns once a kit has been opened.
