Workshop soft pastels for beginners

Why pastels?

Because of their soft nature, it's extremely easy to apply lots of colour quite quickly to the paper and get great results. 

Come along and explore this quick medium, which Melanie describes as a cross between painting and drawing. Experiment with pastel pencils, hard and soft pastel sticks and various papers. 

Hosted by Melanie Sullivan Liverpool artist and tutor, all materials and equipment are provided. Learn the basics, how to get started and watch Mel's demonstrations before having a go at small tasks yourself. Leave the class with a small completed project, a notes handout for information and the confidence to continue at home. Ask as many questions as you like, a very casual and engaging class.
