Make your own concertina sketchbook in this creative workshop hosted by local artist and maker Bev Evans.
An art and craft based class, you'll work with paper materials: cartridge paper, recycled board and Bev’s own original gel plate prints. You will learn book making techniques to create your own 30 page A6 size sketchbook which can then be used for many different things such as drawing, sketching, painting, journalling. It also makes a lovely handmade gift.
This a relaxed and informal class and no previous experience is necessary. All materials and tools are provided. Bev developed this style of book making in her own personal practice based on landscapes - which required wider pages. Unlike other concertina styles, Bev's unique technique makes an excellent double sided surface on which to work. The exterior cover is embellished using two of her own gel plate prints (original mono type prints) and the completed sketchbook has a ribbon or twine fastening.

Class session starts 7pm finishing 9:30pm, beginner level age 16 upwards.

In the case of illness or other unforeseen circumstances we can offer a change of class OR you can transfer your ticket to somebody else allowing us to try to fill your space, please consider late changes mean a loss for Clever Hands and affects our business.
