Gelli plate kit for gel or mono printing

Gel printing is a mono printing technique using a gel plate. Artists may traditionally use a glass plate or print press, but here with a gel plate you can easily create beautiful & original artwork at home. 

This handcrafted kit has been created by Liverpool based Print Artist Bev Evans. Suitable for both a complete beginner or somebody with some arts & crafts experience looking to enjoy a new skill, gel plate printing is super easy. A simple process of applying paint to the gel surface using a roller, then pressing down by hand with paper to transfer the paint design, otherwise known as monotype printmaking.

Bev has worked in art & design for over 30 years and knows exactly what equipment & knowledge students need to get started. Suitable for all ages and abilities, have fun finding leaves and feathers to print with or household textures, a great activity with kids. Bev has recorded video tutorials, access to these is provided in the kit along with written step by step instructions.
