Printmaking by hand is a relaxing and mindful process. For me, the tools I use enhance the experience. This item is a natural bamboo baren 10cm diameter sourced from Japan, an essential part of my printers toolbox. We offer a larger 12cm baren for larger printing projects
This baren is perfect equally for a beginner or an experienced printer alike. The bamboo skin references the traditional Japanese material used in its making. Barens are often used to hand print relief blocks by application of consistent pressure to the reverse of the paper.
