Workshop acrylic painting for beginners
Ever wanted to try out acrylic painting?
Starting with a blank canvas can be scary for everyone! This short class will give you the confidence & knowledge as you learn how to break down the task and get started.
Painting with acrylics gives the vibrancy & heavy feeling of oils without the messy clean up. A forgiving medium for a beginner, acrylic paints are quick to dry & easy to cover over when mistakes happen. In this bite size class hosted by Melanie Sullivan local Liverpool Artist & tutor, plenty of guidance is provided on materials & technique.
Class takes place 2-4:30pm we will cover IMPASTO technique in this class and abstract use of colour.
Melanie will show examples of her own work, provide advice on equipment and demonstrate some basic techniques to help you become familiar, gaining the confidence to attend a longer more comprehensive class or to continue your painting journey at home. You'll learn a little about colour theory, practical tips and common things to avoid. Any questions Melanie will answer.
Suitable for beginners and those with some experience, all materials and equipment are provided. Feel free if you already have some kit, to bring it along.

In the case of illness or other unforeseen circumstances we can offer a change of class OR you can transfer your ticket to somebody else allowing us to try to fill your space, please consider late changes mean a loss for Clever Hands and affects our business.

Unopened kits can be returned within 14 days of purchase. Unfortunately, we can’t accept returns once a kit has been opened.
